春夜 A Spring Evening

金炉香烬漏声残,剪剪轻风阵阵寒。

A Spring Evening

By Wang Anshi

Glowing incense embers and the clepsydra water trickling,
A light breeze is for a moment chilling.
The Spring beauty dazzles the eyes of men, without end,
The shadow of flowers in the moonlight, moving.

Notes:
-The incense embers are on a metal burner.
-A clepsydra is a clock which uses flowing water to keep time.
-The moonlight is casting the shadow of the flowers onto a balustrade of some sort.
-I tried to preserve the rhyme of the first, second and fourth lines. These lines rhyme in Mandarin. I do not know if the author was a Mandarin speaker or if these lines were intended to rhyme.
